What?	Public Works and Planning Center "One Stop Shop" Grand Opening

Who?	Mayor-President Melvin L. "Kip" Holden William Daniel, Chief Administrative Officer David Guillory, Interim Director of the Department of Public Works
Why?	Join Mayor Kip Holden in celebrating the official grand opening of the Public Works and Planning Center (the former Baton Rouge Junior High School building), the newly-renovated home to various Department of Public Works divisions and the City-Parish Planning Commission, and a brand new "One-Stop Shop" for permitting and development. Immediately, following the ceremony, City-Parish officials will take members of the media and public on a guided tour of the renovated facility to highlight the improvements, which include $1.7 million in federally funded-energy efficiency upgrades and installations, helping it to meet the requirements to become the first LEED-certified municipal building in East Baton Rouge Parish.
